About the event

Network with global thinkers, including the leadership team, academic experts, motivated and top-notch graduate students, industry leaders, and NSF representatives, to identify common challenges and opportunities for pervasive personalized intelligence (PPI).

Cooperate with your industry colleagues to define industry-relevant research projects for the PPI Center. Challenge our research to make it better. We welcome participation from innovators from our industry founding members as well as prospective members seeking to understand the value the PPI Center will provide.

  • 4:00-4:08pm: Welcome from Terri Fiez, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at University of Colorado Boulder
  • 4:08-4:15pm: Welcome from Irem Tumer, VP for Research at Oregon State University
  • 4:15-4:30pm: Vision and Goals of the PPI Center from Danny Dig, Founder and Executive Director of the PPI Center
  • 4:30-5:00pm: Overview of the Industry-University Cooperative Research Program (I/UCRC) from Behrooz Shirazi, NSF Program Director
  • 5:00-5:30pm: Executive Industry Panel on Intelligent IoT Systems, moderated by Skip Newberry, CEO Technology Association of Oregon

  • Thu, Sep 17 (4:00pm): Project proposals on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and Visualization Analytics for IoT + Breakout groups on industry applications
